Disc-it! is a highly effective, revolutionary new concept product designed to conveniently store CD's, CD-R's CD-ROMs DVD's and Games Discs that are in repeat or frequent use. Disc-it! provides Ultra-Convenient, protective storage of CD's while helping to reduce the clutter and inconvenience of jewel cases and similar storage devices from the desktop, stereo, shelves, entertainment center and practically everywhere people actively use CD's. Disc-it! will hold up to 8 discs at a time, each separated and protected from the other by the integral staking ring built around the center of all discs. Disc-it! is crafted from high impact ABS plastic and polished chrome steel, filled with ballast. The base has integral slip resistant feet to avoid movement and damage to surfaces. Disc-it! is designed to breathe life back into the stale and cluttered office, home and studio environments by delivering an inspired design with vibrant fun colors. Disc-it! is the perfect promotional item as it is not put away, it remains on the desk, always displaying your personalized printed logo for all to see. How is Disc-it! any different (besides the angle of the disc) than a normal packing spindle that blank media CD's come in? Bulk packed CD's on a spindle type container have been around for many years now. The folks at S.E.I. had realized for almost as long a time, that virtually nobody actually puts frequently used discs back into their protective cases, so many aspects were considered and numerous designs went into the development and production of Disc-it! . The objective was to design an attractive product that would protect and hold a number of CD's with ultimate ease while adding excitement to stale and cluttered desktops, entertainment centers etc.The unique shape and size of Disc-it!, with the tapering top cone and the spherical support surface are design features that make this product user friendly, practical and aesthetically pleasing. One person described their ease of use with the product as "like throwing hoops over a match-stick". The combination of the tapered top cone and the spherical bearing surface on which the disc sits, allows for easy alignment of the disc(s) while also allowing the disc(s) to pivot so that they can be easily seen, handled and picked up, even when Disc-it! is up high, on a monitor or shelf for example, it is very easy to place and remove discs from it. Try putting a packing spindle high above your shoulders and removing the bottom disc, all without standing, and with one hand. We think you'll find Disc-it! to be the more practical solution. Disc-it! takes far less space and is arguably far more attractive than a packing spindle. If I stack more than 1 disc on Disc-it! doesn't this defeat the purpose? No! Disc-it! makes use of an integral stacking ring that is built around the hole of all discs that are or have been manufactured within the last 10 years. This ring is molded into the disc and is there to separate the discs from each other when they are stacked, shipped handled and loaded into a disc-drive. I tend simply to leave an open jewel case on my desk, and place the otherwise homeless disc down on the jewel case without necessarily pressing it home, why is Disc-it! a better solution than this? An open jewel case will hold at best (double CD case) 2 CD's. If the disc is not pushed "home", the CD's are allowed to come into contact with damaging surfaces that will scratch the disc. If the disc is pushed home, it is far more difficult to remove from the mechanical grasp of the center hub, than it would be if it were simply sitting on a Disc-it!. An open jewel case occupies a much greater space on the desktop than the 2.5" diameter footprint of Disc-it! Placing more discs on a disc placed in an open jewel case will only lead to damage of those discs. They will slide around, fall off, get scratched and eventually become useless. Disc-it! is arguably far more attractive sitting on the desktop, than an open jewel case. How many discs will Disc-it! hold? Disc-it will hold up to 8 discs. Research indicates that most people often use between 2 and 8 different or "favorite" discs at any one time. 8 discs have also been found to be a more manageable amount , any more seems to hinder people. For example, have you ever needed to get to disc number 34, at the bottom of a CD spindle holding 40+ discs? I have lost several discs as a result of them getting scratched by laying them around, if I use Disc-it! will it stop my discs from becoming damaged? Absolutely, placing discs on Disc-it! elevates the discs and prevents them from coming into contact with any damaging surface. How can I buy/order/inquire about a product?
